As a postpartum doula, I do whatever you need to best enjoy and care for your new baby each day. What I do changes from day to day, as the needs of your family change.
A large part of my role is education. I share information about baby care with parents, as well as teach siblings and partners to “mother the mother”. I also assist with breastfeeding education and make sure you are fed, well hydrated and comfortable.
Having a new baby is a wonderful and amazing transition in your life, I am here to help make it an enjoyable transition. Check out some of my postpartum doula packages.
How can a Postpartum Doula help you?
All new mothers need help. Throughout history, new mothers have always been consistently supported by their families and surrounding friends and neighbors. Today, we are sent home from the hospital alone and have no experience with caring for a newborn or feeding a baby. Postpartum doulas help to ease this transition. I will help you feed and care for your baby in a gentle, non-judgmental way. I will care for baby so you can rest and heal. While in your home, I will handle light household chores so that you don’t have to. I will empty your dishwasher, fold the laundry and make you a sandwich so that you can relax and enjoy these first few precious weeks with the love of your life!
